Cobram Estate Robust Flavour intensity was announced on Wednesday the 31st of October as the trophy winner for the best Extra Virgin Olive Oil in Class 3 at the prestigious National Australian Olive Association (AOA) Extra Virgin Olive Oil Awards. In doing so Cobram Estate Robust achieved the highest award of any supermarket olive oil in the competition.

Australia’s most awarded extra virgin olive oil producer, has been honoured at the 2012 Los Angeles International Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition. Cobram Estate Super Premium 2012 Premiere won BEST OF CLASS, GOLD MEDAL in the Robust Intensity category. To add to this accolade, Cobram Estate also takes home two silver medals for Cobram Estate Robust Flavour Intensity 2012 and Cobram Estate Light Flavour Intensity 2012.

Cobram Estate, has won two Gold medals at The Olive Japan 2012 International Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition. Cobram Estate single origin 2011 Ultra-Premium Picual took home the gold medal for the “medium” intensity category while Cobram Estate single origin 2011 Ultra-Premium Hojiblanca earned a gold medal in the “delicate” intensity category.

Standards Australia has developed strict extra virgin olive oil definitions to prevent inferior quality products being passed off as the real deal.
It also cracks down on the misuse of terms such as premium, super, pure, light/lite, requires "best before" dates to be no more than two years after bottling and makes the country of origin clearer.

Cobram Estate single origin 2011 Reserve Hojiblanca earned a gold medal and Best of Show status in the “delicate” intensity category.

Awarded by the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS), the President's Medal recognises Australian producers for their profitability, sustainability and high-quality produce. It is Australia's only produce competition in which food and winemakers are judged against each other in a whole-of-company approach incorporating all aspects of the business from production through to marketing and sustainability.
Cobram Estate Fresh & Fruity Extra Virgin Olive Oil was awarded Champion status at the Spring 2010 Sydney Royal Fine Food Show and hand-picked as one of six finalists in the running for the prestigious RAS President's Medal title. The winner will take home $10,000 cash and the silver Heritage medal
